February 2, 2016

Ground Hog Day and it's beautiful.  I guess that means 6 more weeks of winter.  Here are the updates. that will see us through a month or two.

Happy National School Counseling Week.  Feb 1-5.   We had a special viewing of the documentary Paper Tigers.  A in depth look at traumatic brain stress and what one school did about it.  Ms. Nesin and I wrote grants and booked Spotlight Cinema to hold a screening for the 8th grade students and the wider community.  We will be talking about this documentary in 8th grade classes and listening to students ideas about solutions.
Paper Tiger will be playing at Spotlight Cinemas  Feb 2 and 3rd at 7 pm.

Kindness Week will be celebrated Feb 8-12.  We have activities planned and prepare to wrap the school in KINDNESS in Feb and beyond.  #kindnessmattersatlms
